Died unexpectedly on July 8. Preceded in death by father, Bill Scheel. Survived by wife, Mary; children, Shelly (Julian) Davila, Billy Scheel, Hannah Scheel; mother, Carol Scheel; sisters, Diane Scheel and Barb Carlson; nephew, Tashi; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bill will be remembered as a true renaissance man - a talented musician, song-writer, artist and poet who was most at home in nature as a mycological enthusiast. Bill had a passion for learning, and a keen interest in human consciousness. There was a depth to Bill that was complemented by a nuanced sensitivity and exquisite attention to detail that was expressed through his love and tenderness toward his family. Bill had a brilliant sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in his life.
